Ordered a Bluetooth GPS receiver from www.mobilefun.co.uk on Saturday and it’s shown up today and I’ve gotta say it’s great. It only cost a touch over £30 but it works fantastically well.
It paired in seconds, locks on to the satellites VERY quick and keeps that lock. I’ve been using it with Bliin and it’s not dropped out once. I’ve not been out with it either, it’s just sat by my window while I’m on the computer with my phone next to me.
To get one thing straight, I’ve got no issue with the internal GPS at all. it’s just I wanted a bit more flexibility for apps such as Bliin so it comes in really handy. Also, my missus can use it with her phone, which has no inbuilt GPS.
best of all it’s tiny. Screenies below show its size compared to a Wii remote to give you an idea of how small this is.
Top piece of kit. if you’re after that extra flexibility, or if you’re having issues with the inbuilt, you can’t go wrong with this.
